Four local gas stations are kicking off the July 4 holiday weekend with a price break.

On July 3, BJ’s Wholesale Clubs locations in Akron, Avon, Middleburg Heights and North Canton will offer regular unleaded gas for $2.50 per gallon to the first 200 customers that arrive.

The stations open at 6:30 a.m., and each member will be limited to 50 gallons. Non-members will have the chance to sign up for a membership while in line to take advantage of the special prices.

According to AAA, the average traveler is expected to spend $747 and travel a round-trip distance of 613 miles this Fourth of July.
