CHESTERLAND, Ohio– For the second time in three days a black bear has been observed in Chesterland.

The latest sighting in the Geauga County town was at the popular Patterson Fruit Farms on Caves Road on Thursday evening.

FOX 8 viewer Dave Black from Willoughby captured a photo of the bear running in the open and down a hill towards a wooded area.

This comes on the heels of a sighting on Tuesday night from a woman at her Chillicothe Road home. Judy Spotts heard a bear outside while she was on the phone at 10 p.m.

Her surveillance equipment also captured the visit as the bear wandered through a neighbor’s yard toward the road, but darted back when cars passed.

It then made its way back toward the road and safely crossed the street into the woods.

It is unclear if both sightings were the same bear.
