CLEVELAND– Parking at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is about to get a whole lot easier.

They just installed a new vehicle sensor system in their short-term parking garage. It’ll tell drivers how many spots are available and where.

People got a chance to try it out for the first time on Monday.

Many of them said it was pretty easy to use. All you have to do is look for a green light above the parking space. That means it’s empty. If it’s red, it’s filled.

Long-term parking is also now offered in the same garage. Drivers won’t even have to move their cars. The rates will automatically change after 72 hours.

The airport is making a number of upgrades, including a brand new long-term parking garage.

Demolition on the old one will begin next month.

New signs will also be posted around the property.
