LAS VEGAS — A Miss USA contestant’s answer is making its rounds on the Internet after a major flub made Sunday night.

During the pageant, Marissa Powell, also known as Miss Utah, was asked about income inequality.

Reality TV star Nene Leakes, who was serving as a judge, said, “A recent report shows that in 40 percent of American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men.  What does this say about society?”

Powell’s answer with riddled with awkward pauses, incoherent sentence fragments and a smile that said more than her entire response.

Miss Connecticut Erin Brady won the pageant after answering a question about the Supreme Court’s upholding widespread DNA tests.
