Outdoor Pool Season Starts in CLE

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Starting Saturday, the 2013 outdoor pool season will officially be underway in the city of Cleveland.

City officials and community members will gather at Lonnie Burten Pool, 2511 E. 46th St., at 11 a.m. Saturday to launch the opening.

All outdoor pools will be open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 7:30 p.m. All outdoor pools also will open on Monday and Tuesday when the temperature reaches 85 degrees or higher.

City spray basins will open seven days a week when the temperature reaches 80 degrees or above.

There are no charges or admission fees for any pool or spray basin in the city.
