My Town: Autism 5K and Walk at Lock 3

AKRON, Ohio — The Autism Society of Greater Akron is again hosting its 5K and walk to raise awareness and fundraising for autism.

The event will be held Saturday, June 15, at Lock 3 in downtown Akron. More than 1,000 attendees are expected to celebrate the third annual run and walk, which will also feature live entertainment and activities for the kids.

Registration for the 5K run is $30, and the walk is free and donations will be accepted. Registration will be open on Friday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lock 3, and prior to the run and walk beginning at 7:30 a.m. on race day.

The 5K run will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the walk will begin at 9 a.m.
