CLEVELAND -- The Lorain Road Bridge over the Rocky River was closed Friday for filming of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
It will be closed until 10 p.m.
Emergency ambulance access will be maintained to Fairview Hospital.
The hospital on Thursday released the following statement about the closure:
“Cleveland Clinic’s Fairview Hospital will continue to operate as usual during the filming of Captain America on the Lorain Avenue Bridge. We worked to ensure that emergency medical vehicles would continue to have access across the bridge to our hospital during the one-day bridge closure.”
Police in nearby Rocky River said drivers would be detoured via Wooster Road, Hilliard Boulevard, McKinley Road and Rocky River Drive.
Rocky River police said officers will be in place at intersections during the morning and afternoon rush hours, but drivers should allow extra travel time.
