The Ohio Department of Natural Resources website has been hacked.

According to ODNR, personnel earlier this week found and corrected several unauthorized changes to the website, reporting it to Ohio State Highway Patrol on Tuesday.

The changes were not visible to the public and were only embedded in the code of the website, so the unauthorized user could increase Internet search traffic or redirect visitors to other sites, according to ODNR.

No personal information was ever at risk, said ODNR.

ODNR and Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating.
