CLEVELAND– Friday will be a triple traffic whammy for downtown Cleveland, with a movie filming, the casino festival and the Tribe game.

Friday we get the largest of the road closures; the Shoreway shuts down in both directions from E. 9th St. to Lake Ave. for two weeks for filming.

But, the show must go on.

Friday, the Horseshoe Casino is celebrating its one year anniversary- which was on May 14 – and they are throwing a huge all-day party on Public Square.

“We’ll have live music, food from eight different local downtown restaurants and then we have a fireworks and laser show at 10 p.m.,” Noah Hirsch, marketing director for the Horseshoe Casino, said.

“This is our first festival downtown. We are hoping one to two thousand people will come down to visit us,” Hirsch said.

“I live in Cleveland. I got to check that out,” Aaron Phillips said.

The Indians play home games Thursday and Friday.

If you plan to head downtown you may also want to plan to give yourself a lot of extra time.
