My Town: ‘Operation Feed’ Tackles Hunger

NORTH CANTON, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Stark County Hunger Task Force are partnering up to collect items for local food banks.

“Operation Feed” and “Can the Cruiser” is being held Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wal-Mart on The Strip located at 4572 Mega Street in North Canton. Everyone with a non-perishable food item can make enough donations to fill a patrol cruiser.

The most needed food items include the following:

  • Boxed cereal
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned tuna fish
  • Canned vegetables
  • Soup

 

Members of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Stark County Hunger Task Force will be on site to handle questions and donations.
