CLEVELAND — Charges are pending against a 50-year-old woman following a serious crash that injured six people.

According to a preliminary investigation by the Cleveland Division of Police, the woman was operating a Ford Edge when she exited I-480 east at State Road and ran a red light at a high rate of speed.

She hit two other vehicles in the process, causing a Dodge Durango to overturn.

Police said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, but no arrests had been made at the time of this report.

The suspect was not seriously injured, but four passengers in her vehicle and two passengers in another vehicle were.

The accident happened around 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

The I-480 eastbound ramp at the State Road exit was closed for a time. It has since reopened.
