Weekend Closures for ‘Captain America’

CLEVELAND — Many road closures are planned over the Memorial Day weekend for filming of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier.’

Euclid Avenue between E. 6th and E. 18th Streets will be closed May 24 and May 25. Buses will be re-routed to Prospect.

E. 9th Street between Euclid Avenue and Bolivar Avenue will be closed May 24 and
May 25.

Prospect Avenue between Ontario and E. 18th Streets will be closed May 24 and May 25. The route will be open for car traffic, but parking on the street is not permitted.

Huron Road between Ontario Avenue and Prospect Avenue will be closed May 26 then May 28 through June 1. No through traffic will be permitted. Access to parking garages and local businesses will be maintained.

Bolivar Road at Prospect Avenue will be closed May 26. Access to Gateway East Garage will be maintained. Bolivar Road between E. 9th Street and Prospect Avenue will be a two way street to allow traffic access.

Cleveland’s West Shoreway in both directions from Lake Avenue to East Ninth Street will be a main closure from May 29 to June 14.

Road closures will rotate until June 28. The Twitter hashtag #CLECaptTraffic has been created for updates sent on social media.
