CLEVELAND — On a rainy night at Progressive Field, the Tigers and the Indians played the game in three parts thanks to two rain delays.

The downtime didn’t slow down Detroit as the team extended its lead in the top of the 8th once play resumed for the last time.

Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run homer off of Rich Hill that would bounce off of Michael Bourn’s glove in center field before jumping over the wall.

That sealed the 11-7 score the Tigers would use to win the game.

The Tribe begins a series in Boston beginning at 7:10 p.m. Thursday.
