LORAIN, Ohio — A warrant has been issued in the death of a 17-year-old male who was shot and then found in the 3700 block of Lexington Avenue Friday.

Lorain Police Department announced Tuesday a warrant for reckless homicide had been issued for Antonio Robles, of Lorain. Police said he is believed to have fled the Lorain area.

According to police, officers were called to Lexington Avenue Friday night after a passerby reported finding a deceased male.

Deandre McDowell, 17, was found dead from a single gunshot wound to the head, said police. Police said McDowell was transported to the West 37th Street and Lexington Avenue after his death.

As part of the investigation, police said it was determined that Robles “had recklessly caused McDowell’s death” and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Anyone with information on Robles’ whereabouts is asked to call Lorain Police Department at 440-204-2100.
