CLEVELAND —  Two men are in custody after a lengthy standoff with police.

According to Sgt. Sammy Morris, two males barricaded themselves inside a home in the 2000 block of West 103rd Street.

Police dispatch received calls for shots fired at 2:46 a.m. As officers arrived, they found shell castings outside and a man looking out of the window of the home. He was ordered to exit the residence, but did not comply with police.

The Cleveland Division of Police SWAT and Mobile Command Unit responded to the scene.

One of the suspects exited the home around 12:15 p.m. after speaking with negotiators. The second suspect emerged a short time later without incident.

Police said they discovered a marijuana-growing operation in the basement and second floor of the home. They also recovered two handguns from the home. They say there were also several pit bulls in the home, which Animal Control Services is investigating.

Sgt. Sammy Morris says the incident is still under investigation.
