CLEVELAND — Two police officers have been released from the hospital following a crash Friday morning.

The driver of a truck involved in the crash is being held for observation.

The officers’ zone car was pulled to the side of an off-ramp at I-90 west and Lakeshore Boulevard around 11 a.m. in an effort to assist a disabled vehicle.

That’s when the zone car was struck by a pickup truck.

The officers were taken to Euclid Hospital and the 71-year-old driver of the truck was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.

According to a police commander at the scene of the crash, the officers complained of lower back pain.
