Teen Arrested for Stealing $20K of Jewelry

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS — A 17-year-old male has been arrested for several burglaries over the past couple of months.

Cleveland Heights Police say the teen was arrested for stealing $20,000 of jewelry from a home on Coventry Road last month. Police recovered the jewelry in the teen’s home, as well as a pawn shop.

Investigators also found drugs in the teen’s residence.

He is also facing charges for stealing $1,200 worth of UPS packages on Lennox Rd., a burglary on Tudor, and theft from a car on Bellfield. In addition, the teen is charged for discharging a firearm within city limits and assault after an incident with a BB gun on Grandview Ave., according to Cleveland Heights Police.

The teen has been charged in juvenile court.
