My Town: Surviving Brain Tumors Awareness Event

CLEVELAND — Brain tumor patients, their families, friends and supporters can attend the 9th annual Surviving Brain Tumors Awareness Event at the Cleveland Clinic.

Visitors can learn about the condition and related conditions, such as brain cancer, at the hospital’s Main Campus and the Taussig Cancer Center. The event is free and will be held Thursday, May 16, and Friday, May 17.

The event will also include demonstrations by an art therapist and raffles to raise money for brain tumor awareness.

According to the Cleveland Clinic more than 688,000 people are diagnosed with having a brain tumor each year.
