My Town: ‘Heaven Is For Real’ Casting Call

OLMSTED FALLS, Ohio — Filmmakers are in northeast Ohio in search of a young actor to portray a boy who claims to have seen heaven.

“Heaven Is For Real” is a movie based off a 4-year-old Colton Burpo’s account of seeing heaven after a life-threatening bout with appendicitis.

Casting for the movie will take place on Saturday, April 28, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Olmsted Performing Arts Center. Casting directors are searching for a blond haired, blue eyed boy approximately 5- to 7-years-old to portray Colton.

Parents and guardians should send their name, child’s name, date of birth, phone number and a photo of the child to OpenAudition@gmail.com to receive needed materials.

The Olmsted Performing Arts Center is located at 6941 Columbia Road in Olmsted Falls.
