A rope attached to a piece of concrete and steel pipe was tied around his waist and knotted from behind, police said.
DNA records, the missing persons database and dental records may be used to help identify the victim.
He is believed to be 20-40 years old, 5’11” tall and about 142 pounds. He had black hair and brown eyes.
The investigation also included a sweep of the pond by divers using sonar and metal detectors and a search of an unoccupied apartment next to the pond.
“Items of interest” were found in the garage there.
