NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio– A humane officer rescued a baby Great Horned owl in North Ridgeville Wednesday.

According to the police department’s Facebook page, the owl was found on playground equipment at South Central Park.

The bird wasn’t able to stand on its own because it’s so young.

The owl was taken to the Bay Nature Center. The center will try to find the owl’s nest and reintroduce the owl to it.

The North Ridgeville Police Department’s Facebook page also said that if the nest can’t be found, the owl will be taken to a raptor center to be cared for until it can be put back in the wild.
