AKRON– A 14-year-old suspect arrested in connection with the murders of a New Franklin husband and wife appeared in Summit County Juvenile Court Monday morning.

The teen is charged with two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated burglary.

A not guilty plea was given.

The State of Ohio filed a motion to have the case tried in adult court; but that will be determined at a later date if the motion is granted.

The 14-year-old is being held in a juvenile detention center in Akron.

Jeffrey and Margaret Schobert’s bodies were found by construction workers last week in the bedroom of their Rex Lake Drive home.

18-year-old Shawn Ford is being held on a $2 million cash bond on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and grand theft.
