COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State University has posted a public safety notice on its website saying there will be extra police and security in and around campus dining facilities Monday.

The notice was issued after a chat site referenced “a potential threat of shooting or explosive focused on a cafeteria or other unspecified area of campus Monday,” according to the notice.

The notice also says the university will have the assistance of federal, state and local law enforcement.

The university is asking that anyone who sees suspicious people, behavior or packages call 911 or police.
