CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio -- An early morning crash closed part of State Road in Cuyahoga Falls for most of the day after a truck collided with an SUV, then crashed through a nearby business sending five people to the hospital.

The calls poured into the 911 call center in Cuyahoga Falls around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

"You all might want to hurry and send just about everything you've got to this Alro Steel here," said one caller.

"What's the problem?" exclaimed the dispatcher.

"There is a truck, two or three cars, there is a truck, the truck has gone into the Alro Steel building," said the caller.

According to witnesses, a maroon Ford Explorer veered left of center and collided with this semi, sending the truck into the side of Alro Steel.

"Just a big boom, and I saw that dirt flying that you see on that road," said witness George Vizmeg. "The truck goes cruising through the lawn and through the trees and hit the corner of the building."

In all, two vehicles and a semi-truck were involved.

"She kind of went past them or something and the truck hit her," Vizmeg said.

Vizmeg was working across the street, witnessed the accident and immediately ran over to the SUV which was carrying two children.

"The woman, she ran out, one kid's on the front seat, one in the back seat, the biggest on the back seat was very bad injured," he said. "We can't pull him out, we hardly pulled him out, put him on the lawn, he's sleeping, he was conscious probably."

Firefighters from Cuyahoga Falls worked quickly to remove the remaining fuel inside the semi to be sure it did not catch fire before it was removed from Alro Steel.

Police have not released any information on the crash including the names and conditions of those involved in the crash.

State Road was reopened around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
