CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A young Cleveland woman missing since Friday was found dead Sunday by her family at an abandoned house.

Police said Jazmine Trotter, 20, was walking to pick up a paycheck on Friday when she disappeared. On Saturday, her family reported her missing.

Sunday, they began tracing the route they thought she would have walked when they made the horrible discovery.

"They were on their way walking and looking for her at the same time," said Carletha Malone, Trotter's aunt. "And they happened upon her cosmetic bag in the grass."

The abandoned house is located in the 3900 block of East 93rd Street.

"Shocked," said Lois Hatchett, Trotter's aunt. "Saddened that a young person's life has been taken."

Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland police. So far, there are no suspects in Jazmine's death.

Her cause of death is still under investigation.

"This is a great loss," said Malone. "This is a girl who had a lot of potential."
