CLEVELAND — A homicide investigation was launched after a 20-year-old woman who was reported missing Friday was found unresponsive by family members two days later.

The victim left for work but never got there, and no one had heard from her since, the Cleveland Division of Police said.

Officers were called to the 3900 block of E. 93rd Street around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, where the victim had been found at an abandoned house.

Family members told Fox 8 News they noticed the victim’s makeup bag nearby in the street.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and was later identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office as Jazmine Trotter.

At the time of this report, the cause of death was undetermined.
