ORIENT, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has released a new inmate photo of Chardon High School shooter, T.J. Lane.
The 18-year-old was transferred late Wednesday to the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio.
Lane had previously been held at the Lorain Correctional Institution in Grafton, Ohio, where he was said to have been interviewed by psychologists and underwent testing.
On Tuesday, Lane received three consecutive life sentences for fatally shooting Danny Parmertor,16, Demetrius Hewlin, 16, and Russell King, Jr., 17, on February 27, 2012, in the cafeteria at Chardon High School.
Three other students, including a severely injured Nick Walczak, were wounded in the attack.
During Wednesday’s sentencing, Lane shocked the courtroom by removing a button down shirt to reveal a white T-shirt that had the word “killer” written on it, before spouting off a vulgar statement to the victims’ families.
In a statement released Wednesday, the Geauga County Common Pleas Court said the judge was unaware of Lane’s shirt during the sentencing.
