I-90 W Lanes Reopen After Battery Acid Spill

CLEVELAND — A truck spilled sulfuric acid across Interstate 90 westbound Thursday morning, stalling traffic from Dead Man’s Curve for several hours.

According to Cleveland police, the spill occurred when the truck lost its battery on the roadway. HAZMAT was called to the scene to clean it up.

No injuries were reported.

I-90 westbound lanes from Dead Man’s Curve to Prospect Avenue were closed for several hours during the cleanup process.

All lanes have since reopened.
