Police: Chase Ends in Crash, Injuries

PARMA, Ohio– Police said what started as a traffic stop ended in a crash with injuries.

Parma police said North Royalton police initiated a traffic stop on a 43-year-old Hinckley resident on Ridge Rd. around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the person had open warrants and took off when the officer approached the car.

He reportedly then drove down Ridge Rd. into Parma. Police followed. They said he hit a driver head-on at Sprague Rd.

The driver of the car he hit suffered minor injuries.

The suspect was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with serious injuries.
