CLEVELAND– Two people now face charges after a puppy was found dead inside of a vehicle.

Sharon Harvey with the Animal Protective League told FOX 8 one count of animal neglect was filed against Quinntero and Celetra Grice.

Police interviewed the puppy owner and he stated the animal died on February 6.

The dead animal was left in the back of an SUV for a week.

The discovery was made after someone complained about an abandoned car on Cleveland’s east side.

In the police reports, the dog owner stated that he was feeding and giving water to the animal and doesn’t know why it died.
