New Military Medal Creates Controversy

Defense Leaders have created a new medal that’s creating controversy across the military community.

That’s because it’s being awarded to those who aren’t physically on the battlefield.

According to WGHP, the Distinguished Warfare Medal recognizes the extraordinary achievement of military men and women who have a direct effect on the success of combat, but never see the front lines.

The medal will sit above the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, but below the Distinguished Flying Cross.
