CLEVELAND — Nearly 6,000 feet of the glass pavilion set to be the newly restored home of the Euclid Beach Park Carousel is almost ready to open.

The carousel is projected to be ready no later than 2014.

The carousel is located at the Western Reserve Historical Society at University Circle, and is part of a $2 million restoration project at Euclid Beach Park. Restoration is being completed by a local company, Carousel Works in Mansfield, Ohio.

The Cleveland Carousel Society is underwriting the project and will provide opportunities to “adopt” a horse at the carousel once it is complete. The society is a non-profit organization established in 2010 with the goal of restoring the Euclid Beach Park Carousel.
