Is 5 Too Early For Sex Ed?

CHICAGO, Illinois — Most students in the United States begin sex education in the 5th grade.

According to  Fox 32 in Chicago, Chicago Public Schools wants to begin sex education  at age 5.

The district says more than half of its high school students are having sex. Cook County, where Chicago is located, is number one in the country for sexually transmitted diseases in the U.S. and has one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the world.

CPS says their program is “modernized” and will give the youngsters the tools to make healthy choices.
