Plugged In: Women in the NFL?

For as long as the NFL has been around, it’s been a boys club.

But a 28-year-old New York City woman is changing that.

According to Fox Sports, Lauren Silberman plans to show up at an NFL Regional Scouting Combine for a kicking tryout in New Jersey next month.

Silberman will be the first to take advantage of a relatively new NFL rule focused on gender equity. The NFL approved a guideline in 2012 allowing women to play in the league.
