MENTOR, Ohio — A crashed semi-truck on I-90 eastbound in Lake County has slowed traffic this morning.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the one-vehicle accident occurred around 6:15, near Route 44 in Mentor.

Officials say the truck driver lost control of his semi, sliding across the road before jackknifing.

The driver told troopers he was going about 35 mph when the crash happened. He has about one year of experience driving trucks, troopers said.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the accident.

Meanwhile, one lane of I-90 eastbound is closed while crews work to remove the truck. That process could take several hours.

The driver will be cited for failure to control, officials said.
