CHICAGO, Illinois (WGN/CLTV) — A controversial billboard in the River North neighborhood has been taken down.
The board, at Clark and Ontario, advertised a Canadian web site that arranged no-commitment sexual hookups.
In big letters, the billboard read, “Because the best job is a (expletive) job.”
Parents complained their children were exposed to the board while visiting at the Rainforest Cafe and the Rock ‘n Roll McDonald’s.
Alderman Brendan Reilly asked the billboard company to take it down in the interest of being a good neighbor.
So the board is gone, and the advertiser will be compensated for having it removed early.
