BROOK PARK, Ohio — Hundreds of new jobs could be headed to the Ford engine plant in Brook Park.

Members of the United Auto Workers Local 1250 late Monday night voted on a tentative agreement to accept a new product from Ford Motor Company. That could mean 800 new jobs would be created at the plant, which currently employs about 1,000.

Union President Mike Gammella said the product is believed to be a new fuel-saving, four-cylinder engine.

The company will outline its vision of the product with a news conference at the plant Thursday afternoon.
