CLEVELAND-- People who live around East 79th and Korman Avenue in Cleveland are on high alert.

"People talking about some guy running around here pretending to be a police officer.  And he attacked a girl right here," said Rodney Ing, a neighbor.

Over the weekend, a woman reported she was stopped by what she thought was an undercover police vehicle.

Instead, the victim says she was sexually assaulted, then the male took her money and drove away.

"I live right here and I drive past there all the time, the St. Clair area and the Superior area, so it's very concerning," said Melissa Reeves, a neighbor.

Police say the man drove a black Chevy Caprice with tinted windows and a bubble light.

The victim says he pulled her over, approached her car, then attacked her.

Police say if you are concerned, call dispatch through 911.

State your concern and your location and they will check the validity of the traffic stop.

"I'm gonna call 911 and get him verified and after I get him verified, then I'll stop.  But until I get him verified, I'm not gonna stop," said Armelia O'Neal, neighbor.

Police believe this is an isolated incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
