Woman Reports Being Pulled Over, Assaulted

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland police are investigating after a woman reported being sexually assaulted and robbed after stopping for what she thought was an undercover police vehicle.

According to the Cleveland police, it reportedly happened around 1:10 p.m. Saturday.

The victim told police she was traveling on East 79th Street near Korman Avenue when she was stopped by a black Chevrolet Caprice with tinted windows and a “bubble light.”

She said that after stopping, a man approached her vehicle and then sexually assaulted her before taking money and medication from her purse and driving away.

The woman described the suspect as being a black male around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 150 to 170 pounds and wearing all black.

Cleveland police ask that anyone with information on the incident call the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit at 216-623-5630.
