Arrests Made in Portage County Burglaries

PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio — Police have arrested two suspects in connection of daytime burglaries in Mantua Township.

According to the Portage County Sheriffs Office, Brian Cieszykowski, 30, and Angie Wyatt, 29, were involved in three burglaries.

Two of the incidents happened on February 5th in the 5000 block of Winchell Road. Both residents were not occupied at the time of the burglary.

On February 7th, Cieszykowski and Wyatt were involved in a routine traffic stop. Authorities found Wyatt had an outstanding arrest warrant through Geauga County for probation violation.  Wyatt was taken into custody.

After further investigation, a third burglary happened near that traffic stop at 4900 of Winchell Road.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Cieszykowski.

Wyatt is charged with complicity to burglary. Cieszykowski is charged with burglary. He will be charged in Geauga County for the resisting arrest and assault on a police officer.
