Owners Offer $10K Reward; Dog Found

Kobe

PARMA, Ohio — Animal lovers know the bond between a pet and his owner is priceless, and when one goes missing, most will do anything to get him back.

A couple in Parma offered a $10,000 reward for the safe return of their lost dog, Kobe.

Matt Gorey said there was a miscommunication while passing the leash to his girlfriend around 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Kobe got loose and was hit by a car on State and Hearthstone roads, then took off.

“He could be hurt, he could be injured, we just don’t know,” Gorey said.

Kobe is a red Shiba Inu.

“We’re just hoping that somebody out there is kind enough to take care of him or find him and help us find him,” said Amanda Fickel, Kobe’s other owner, through tears.

Neighbors found the dog a few blocks away on Sunday afternoon.

At the time of this report, Gorey said they were discussing the compensation amount.
