CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating the city’s first homicide of 2013.
Police say it happened just before 3 a.m. at a home on Hilgert Avenue.
Officers responded there for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive man lying on the front porch.
He had been shot in the chest several times, and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man as 42-year-old Nathan Brown.
A preliminary investigation revealed that at least one person kicked in Brown’s door and shot him.
Officers are still looking for the suspect.
