NEW YORK CITY — The Cleveland Cavaliers weren’t able to hold on against the Brooklyn Nets Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The Cavs lost 100-103 after trailing the Nets the entire game. The Wine & Gold did, however, come within 5 points at 74-79 to close the 3rd quarter a single point late in the 4th quarter.
Forward C.J. Miles gave a strong performance off the bench with 33 points, the second best game total overall and highest for the Cavs. He also posted two boards. Guard Kyrie Irving had a lackluster night with 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting, 4 rebounds and 7 assists.
The Cavs, now 7-25, will take a short break going into the new year. The team is scheduled to take on the Sacramento Kings at home on January 2.
