She’s considered by many to be the reason why the Beatles broke up.

But now, we’re learning Yoko Ono blamed someone else.

Huffingtonpost.com reported that newly released recordings included John Lennon’s widow talking about the band’s “divorce.”

In a 1987 interview, Yoko reportedly said, “The Beatles were getting very independent. Paul (McCartney) was the only one trying to hold the Beatles together. But, the other three thought Paul would hold the Beatles together as his band. They were getting to be like Paul’s band, which they didn’t like.”

In a recent interview, McCartney said Ono did not break up the group because it was already breaking up.
