(CNN) — For Chicago drivers, parking their cars is becoming more expensive.

Next year, parking on the street inside Chicago’s Loop will jump 75 cents to $6.50 an hour.

Chicago’s street parking is the most expensive in the country.

Rates just outside the Loop will go up to $4 an hour.

A private company has a 75-year lease on the city’s 36,000 metered spaces.

Last year, Chicago parking meters netted more than $108,000,000.

Some drivers have vowed to drive less.
