VERMILION, Ohio — An 11-year-old boy was taken into custody Tuesday after police say he made threats of violence during school.
It happened just before 11 a.m. at the Sailorway Middle School in Vermilion.
The boy’s teacher told police her student became upset when she asked him to double-check his test before he left class.
That’s when, according to the teacher, the boy said, “I’m going to shoot everyone in this school.”
He was then escorted to the office.
An Erie County judge ordered the boy to be transported to a juvenile detention home and charged with menacing.
