CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — At Breezewood Gardens in Chagrin Falls, the price for the perfect Christmas tree may shock you.

“Our biggest tree is $25 hundred dollars. It’s 18 foot,” said David Kay, owner.

Yes. Two thousand, five hundred dollars for a live Christmas tree.

“It’s for customers we’ve been dealing with for years. They expect the perfect Christmas tree,” said Kay.

The tree is hand selected from the woods in North Carolina and brought first class to Northeast Ohio.

“It’s gonna be full all the way around. It’s gonna have a straight trunk. A Fraser fir like this one, it’ll have great needle retention,” said Kay.

For that price it better!

And it’s one of three trees over a grand in stock.

“The tall ones are over $1,000.  But we have ones priced for everyone,” said Kay.

Breezewood has Christmas Trees ranging from $40 to $2,500.

“I’ve never seen a place with so many perfect trees,” said Sharon Roth, of Beachwood.

And the most popular of them all?

“The Fraser fir.  Because it smells the best and hangs the most ornaments,” said Greg Booms, employee.

“We have 300 trees. You can browse around. They’re all named so you can get back to that tree easier. It’s really about the experience,” added Kay.
