RTA: Bus Hit in Random Gunfire

CLEVELAND — Two people were injured Monday night after gunshots struck an RTA bus, near the intersection of East 105th Street and Ashbury Avenue.

RTA spokesperson, Jerry Masek, says at least six shots were fired at the curbside area of the bus.

There were two shooting victims, who were treated and released from MetroHealth Medical Center. Another passenger had issues with asthma and was taken to the Cleveland Clinic.

Witnesses told police they saw four young males in the area before the shooting. All of them left the scene.

Police recovered a handgun and shell casings near the scene.
