Police: Driver Ditched Injured After Crash

CLEVELAND — A driver involved in a two-car accident ran away from the scene leaving six injured people behind, the Cleveland Division of Police said.

The accident happened on Thursday at 8:27 p.m. at Woodhill Road and Sophia Avenue in Cleveland.

According to Sgt. Sammy Morris, a Hyundai heading southbound on Woodhill hit a Chevrolet Cobalt from behind.

Three juveniles in the Hyundai were hurt and taken to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.  The three adults in the Cobalt were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.

Although Fourth District officers looked for the driver who left the scene, no one was found.

The victim’s ages and conditions were not immediately known.
