CLEVELAND -- A local family celebrated an early Thanksgiving Monday evening.

After serving four tours in Afghanistan in seven years, husband and father Sergeant Dan Shaw returned home.

U.S. Army Sgt. Shaw was greeted by cheers after arriving at Hopkins International Airport to greet his family. His wife, Lindsey, sister and her children welcomed him home.

Sgt. Shaw says this fourth tour will be his last. Prior to enlisting, he served as a police officer and plans to return to local service.
